Analysis of a Foreign Film Trailer

Der Baader Meinhof Komplex

The trailer starts with a man standing in a circle of burning cars and buses, the scene is dark and filled with distruction, this is common for a thriller.
Then there is a cut to a huge protest or gathering of a political party chanting and waving red flags, this is an indicator that the film might be a political thriller.
The next scene is in a street where police are charging at students and trying to contain a riot.
There is a lot of violence mixed with political party meetings.
The trailer is dark and is very fast paced which is very common in the thriller genre, another very common feature in a thriller film is that there are scenes in a prison this is no different in the "Baader Meinhof Komplex".

This Film is set in Germany 1968 which was a very tense time in German History this also contributes to the thriller genre.
